The Second Disney Pixar Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome one and all to the Second Disney Pixar Blog Hop! If you just came from Tami's Craft Connection, then you have hopped to the right spot!

When I was a little girl, I could always count on my mom to load me, my 2 sisters and my brother into our car and head to church every Sunday night. Don't get me wrong--I loved going to church, but on the rare occasion I got to stay home, I would nearly burst with excitement! I knew that soon Marlin Perkins would take me on an exotic journey to a far-away place where I would learn about animals that were too amazing for my little mind to contain. I can still hear the opening to "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" playing in my head. :) I never did understand what "Mutual of Omaha" meant, but there was no doubt about the "Wild Kingdom" part!

But, when I think back, "Wild Kingdom" was just the opening act for the real show..."The Wonderful World of Disney." After a brief commercial break (anticipation mounting!!!) a beautiful castle would materialize on the tv screen. I knew the castle had to be real. I was sure that I would one day live there with my very own prince. And then, magical little Tinkerbelle would fly out, igniting a spectacular fireworks display with her magic wand. Oh, how I wished I was a fairy!

For the next hour, I would sit so still, soaking up every magical moment. For a brief time, fantasy became reality and I was part of a world where animals could talk, princesses always found true love, and a happy ending was inevitable.

That's why I am so excited to be part of this hop! And...in honor of all my happy, childhood memories, I've created not one, but TWO special Disney-themed Cricut Expression Cozies. Here they are:

This Cozy features the famous Tinkerbelle flying around on a lime-green background, with purple and teal daisies scattered all around. The coordinating purple fabric is vibrant and matches the purple daisies perfectly. This Cozy is sure to be a pretty addition to any Disney-themed crafting area.

The next Cozy I made is dedicated to that Classy Mouse who started it all--Mickey!

This Cozy features a comic strip Mickey in a variety of colors/poses. The perfect embellishment is a pair of buttons that look just like the ones found on the front of Mickey's britches!

Blog Candy!

Here is your chance to win one of three $15 gift certificate from Kathy's Cozies with which you can purchase one of these special-edition Disney Cozies--or another Cozy of your choice. To be entered in the drawing, all you have to do is become a follower of my blog and leave a comment briefly telling me about your favorite Disney memory. (If you're already a follower, just leave a comment.) For an added chance at winning, "like" my facebook page and tell me what you would use your $15 gift certificate to purchase.

Three lucky winners will be randomly chosen to win a $15 gift certificate. If you'd like to see more of my items, stop by my Etsy store. Currently, I make Cozies for Cricut Imagines, Expressions, Cakes, Creates, Gypsies, Jukeboxes, Cuttlebugs and Your Story machines. I also make cord bags, Cricut plate bags, and Cozies for Kindles and iPads. Coming soon: the Cinch machine, Xyron 510, Expression 2, and Sizzix Big Shot. Also, ask me about matching sewing machine and printer Cozies.

Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop is over to Melissa's blog at Disney Dreamer's Designs. Happy Hopping!

Thanks so much for those video clips! The Disney intro was super to see again after so many years. We went to church in the morning so always watched Disney on Sunday evenings.
My favourite Disney memory is riding the Aerosmith ride with my middle guy. We had SO much fun together. I also have very, very fond memories of listening to my Cinderella cassette tape over and over and over again as a child.

Ok, here is my Disney memory. I am from a family of 14 children, 10 girls and 4 boys. My sister Cathy & I are only 11 months apart. We used to watch the Mickey Mouse Club on TV and we loved the Chip & Dale Cartoons. Whenever we would eat an apple when we finished the apple we would hold up the apple core and say "apple core! Whose your friend?" just like Chip & Dale! Now we are 52 & 53 and we still say it to each other!

Would love to see someone make cozies for the Silhouette SD too. It's smaller than the E but more open, which allows for more dust and pet hair to get inside it. My fondest Disney memory is sitting in front of our small tv set, watching The Mickey Mouse Club and wishing I could grow up to look like
Annette Funicello! Hahaha! If I was lucky enough to win the gift certificate, I would for sure choose a cozy for my E. Other than the Cuttlebug, it's the only PC machine I own. Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite Disney memory was when I went to Fl to Disney and saw that magic castle as I just came in. I saw so much and did so much those 4 days. They were memories that I will always cherish. My most memorable on was when I went on the ride "It's a Small World" as I went on this ride as a very young child when the World's Fair was in NY (early 1960's). Of course mom has passed some 7 years ago but when I went on that ride, all the memories came flooding back as if I were a child again and I swear I heard my mom singing with me...It's a small world after all...

Hi! I love your cozies - what a fantastic idea!

My favorite Disney Memory is celebrating our son's actual 6th birthday at Walt Disney World while on a 10 day trip there! It was his first trip to Disney and he was so excited! His actual birthday was magical for him, every cast member we came in contact with wished him a happy birthday (as he was wearing a today is my birthday button we received at check-in) and we had his bday dinner at Chef Mickey's and all of the characters gathered at our table when his cake was delivered and we sang happy birthday to him! Wonderful memories!!!
Thanks for the chance to win! Gotta hop over thefb to like you and then on with the Disney hop!

My fave memory is going to WDW with my son (4 at the time) and waiting to meet Pooh...who he adores! He got Pooh's autograph, then reached up, pulled Pooh down by the nose and kissed him on it...way too cute! :-)
