IT'S HERE!!! NEW EXPRESSION 2 COZY!!!!

It's here! The much-anticipated Expression 2 Cozy! After a failed attempt to make an Expression 2 Cozy over the weekend, (I won't even post the picture...it's kind of embarrassing! lol) I think I finally found a pattern that I am very happy with. I really like the look of the original Expression Cozies, so I decided to make this one look as much like them as possible.

To start off, I kept the middle strip the same width as the original Expression. But as you can see, the profile is somewhat different from the original. The middle had to be slightly higher and the ends had to be slightly lower than the Original E. So, some tapering was in order.

"What's with this fabric? Are those skulls I see?" When Raquel asked me to make a "Girly Skull" Cozy, I was a little surprised. :) I had, in the past, made pig Cozies, ladybug Cozies, dog Cozies, Butterfly Cozies...and definitely lots of floral Cozies. But...skulls? I went to my local Joann store and used my cell phone to send a few fabric pictures her way. She was delighted to find this bandana print. In fact, if you don't look closely, you might actually miss the fact that there are even skulls on the pattern. Coupled with the hot pink fabric, I think we accomplished what we set out to do--make a "Girly Skull" Cozy.

The embellishment is very pretty, too. I think it matches the flowers on the fabric perfectly. It is a lacquer button that gives this Cozy a touch of elegance.
